Venkata Raman Anantharaman is an experienced Sales and Strategy Head with a demonstrated history of launching and scaling up businesses, driving profitability, and managing P&L. He is currently serving as the Director of National Revenue at OYO Weddingz.in and Regional Head for South and West India at HIL Limited, CK Birla Group. He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, where he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Anantharaman has expertise in the Building Products industry and Hospitality sector. He is a strong business development professional with experience in launching and scaling up businesses, driving profitability, and managing P&L. He has a proven track record of conceptualizing and driving new initiatives for organizations, including developing SaaS-based low-cost business models, productivity enhancement, and process optimizations. In his current role at OYO Weddingz.in, Anantharaman is leading the sales and business development strategy, conceptualizing and driving new initiatives, and preparing the Annual Operating Plans (AOP). He is responsible for the P&L of the entire business and is currently working towards meeting the 2020 profitability targets of the organization. Prior to his current role, Anantharaman worked at HIL Limited, one of the group companies of CK Birla Group, where he handled outsourcing, trading, and new products for the company. He was responsible for EBITDA of the above initiatives and handled marketing as an additional portfolio during Jan'17-Sep-'17, executing all ATL & BTL activities, Market Researches, Managing Channel Loyalty program, and Executed 2 product launches. Anantharaman has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Government College of Technology and completed his HSC from Velammal Matric. Hr. Sec. School. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IIM Ahmedabad.
